Allaah, in whose name I begin, is the Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful
Allaah [Ta’alaa] says in the Quraan:
“Hajj [pilgrimage to Makkah to the house [Ka`bah] is a duty that mankind owes to Allaah, those who can afford the expenses”
[Soorah Al `Imraan: ]
Hajj
as stated in Soorah Imraan, is a pilgrimage to the House of the Ka’bah
and is a duty that mankind owes to Almighty Allaah, those who are able
and can afford the expense. Hajj is one of the main pillars of Islaam
that occurs in the 12th month of the Islamic Calendar, and it occurs
mainly from days 8 to the 12th of this month.
